FANTASTIC NEWS
This year the Winter Festival will take the form of a "CHRISTMAS MARKET" and will take place on Saturday 1st December when as usual it will be Admission Free! The market will have a 'Traditonal' section and for the first time a Continental Market.

The Welshpool Winter Festival is a Free event for all the family to enjoy, and is staged by an enthusiastic team of volunteers who aim to stage a yearly event that is both entertaining and educational that brings together the voluntary, business and public body communities of the town. The theme of the Festival changes yearly.

HOW TO GET THERE:
Welshpool is very easy to get to, whatever your choice of transport – we are nearer than you think. The town is only 45 minutes from linking up with the M56.
By Road:
Welshpool lies on the crossroads of the A483 and the A458 allowing excellent access to the town from all points of the compass and is an easy drive away from Wales’ and England’s major cities:
London 3 ½ Hours. Birmingham 1 ½ Hours. Manchester 1 ½ Hours.
Cardiff 3 Hours. Liverpool 1 ¼ Hours.
By Coach:
A National Express service runs once a day from Welshpool to London and vice-versa. For more information call National Express on 08705 808080.
Local Bus Services run regularly between Welshpool and the main towns of Oswestry, Shrewsbury and Newtown. Contact Arriva Cymru on 0870 6082608.
By Rail:
Welshpool station is situated on the main Birmingham to Aberystwyth line and offers regular services to those travelling by train. For information call 08457 484950. The station is only a 5 minute walk from the town centre.
By Air:
Pilots of light aircraft can fly into Welshpool Airport, just to the south of the town. For more information call 01938 555062
